Blender to R.Design
How to setup and prepare models in Blender for R.Design
Step 1: Download and install datasmith plugin for Blender




Step 2: Open your .blend file and check the overall scale for correct import to R.Design.


Step 3: Create checker material and check uv’s

Step 5: Create new UV’s for objects with incorrect look.





Step 6: Delete all lights and export your 3d file as .udatasmith to clean folder

Step 7: Import your 3d file to R.Design software



Step 8: For correct and great experience assign to all imported objects materials from R.Design catalog!


- Create your model with a scale of 1.00
- Make sure your model is centered around (0,0,0) and its bottom is above 0 on the Z axis, like this:


- For Format, select „glTF Embedded (.gltf)”, check „Selected Objects”, „Apply Modifiers” and „+Y Up” fields.

Under „Meshes” tab, check „Tangents” too.

- Place the exported file inside the ImportedContent/Items or ImportedContent/Levels folder, depending on the purpose of your model.

- After opening the application or clicking „Scan for new content”, you should see your model in the list of items:

- Set the import scale to 50. After dragging the item, it will show up in the scene:
